The Yes-Yes pricing strategy

You’re probably familiar with the typical three-tier pricing strategy. You run across this all the time, especially with SaaS businesses.

However, you may not be familiar with the Yes-Yes pricing strategy. My friend Jane Portman has an excellent writeup of this method here:

You should read Jane’s article, but the gist of it is having two options, with the second being 15% higher than the first, and including disproportionately extra value.

One way you could implement this with a membership site:

Make community/forum access your first tier, with educational content the added bonus (be sure the content is solid, and worth way more than the price increase).
